Geo Frames Brand identity

Geo Frames is a fictitious sustainable eyewear designer and manufacturer based in Providence, Rhode Island. Inspired by futurist and innovator Buckminster Fuller, the brand is minimal and eco-conscious.

The Inspiration

For this project, each student in my class was given a person to research and draw inspiration from. I was assigned futurist, inventor, architect and sustainability advocate Buckminster Fuller. The idea for eyewear came to me after looking through countless images of Fuller in horn-rimmed glasses. I am familiar with the popular eyewear material cellulose acetate from my work in jewelry and accessories and I thought an eyewear brand using this eco-conscious material would be a perfect fit for Buckminster Fuller. His love of minimal design and sustainability guided me to this concept.

I first created a mood board using the images and type collected from my research about Fuller.
